Lisbon has been a blast for me! Via couchsurfing I met a lot of people, also a Dutch woman. It was nice to sprak in my own language again. Normally you Will speak English, or German, depending on the other person.
On tuesday I went out with a local and she could tell me a lot about the history in Lisbon. After that we went to the beach where the locals go to escape the tourists 🙂 this was a very nice beach, a lot more quiet then other beaches.
I do noticed that I like the big city but I got so tired. Everything is hectic and there are a lot of things going on. Because of this I decided that my next stop will be Coimbra. This is a smaller student city, but now without the students. Just to rest for a bit in a less hectic place.
My favorite things in Lisbon was getting lost in Alfama. So many small streets and just walk and have an espresso. Also, the soccer game I went to was pretty nice. The atmosfere was relaxed and is was nice to see a live game. The hardcore fans were singing the whole game and everybody was nice. The jazz concert in the park was also very nice. It was a couchsurfing event and I met up with about 40 other locals and travelers.
