Last thursday I arrived in Lisbon and until now it has been great! The weather is very nice, between 28 and 33 degrees but because you are so close to the ocean, it’s not too hot.
One advantage of Lisbon is that the touristic things are spread out over multiple locations and not one central place. There are a lot of tourists here but it’s not that crowded. Everyone is going to different places.
On friday I went to Alfama. This is the oldest part of Lisbon and it is very beautiful! The small streets, all the different colors and a lot of places where you can get a coffee for 70 cents ? in the evening I met up with 2 guys from Australia and we went out to the bars.
On saturday I went to another part of Lisbon, called Belem. Went to a monastery and after that I was looking on google maps where I should go. There was a soccer stadium behind the monastery and there was a game on within 2 hours. The home team was Belenenses. Luckily they won and the atmosfere with the locals was good!
Yesterday I went to museum Aljube. It’s about the dictatorship until 1976 with Salazar. It’s an important part of the Portuguese history so when you’re here you should visit it ? in the evening I went to a jazz concert in a park. It was a couchsurfing event so I met up with about 20 other travelers, which was very nice!
I will leave Lisbon on wednesday and I’ll go to Coimbra for 2 nights and to Porto after that.
