It is quite easy to travel from Berlin to Warsaw. I took a direct train and it took me about 6 hours.
I arrived in the evening in Warsaw and I took a taxi to the place I was staying. Luckily Warsaw is cheap so a 4 km taxi drive cost me 6 euro’s. Food and drinkschaal are also cheap!
To be honest, Warsaw is not the most special city you can visit. A large part of the city was bombed during the second world war so there are a lot of new building. There is a part of the city which is still old and it is very nice to walk there. Unfortunately I wasn’t the only one there, a lot of tourists will go to the old town.
There are a number of museums but most of them are focused on Warsaw, especially the Warsaw uprising museum. The nicest one was the science center. It is for kids but an adult can also have a lot of fun there. You can try out a lot of science experiments, which was very nice.
There is a big river in Warsaw and in the evening you can chill at the river. There are a lot of bars near the river.
One thing which was very nice is that they organise a lot of couchsurfing events! So I’ve been playing badminton in a park, outdoor classical concerts and so on.
In my opinion, a week is too long for Warsaw. If you want to go, 3 or 4 days will be enough. I had a very good time in Warsaw, thanks to the couchsurfing events!
