When I woke up this morning, the wind was still very cold and I really could feel my muscles everywhere, especially in my shoulders!
It took me quite some time to have breakfast, break down the tent, pack up all the gear in my pack and filter 2 litres water. I looked at the map and the trail was following the road. I looked at the trail from a distance and I saw a lot of snow! So I took the road.
The route for today contained over some mountains, so I figured there was enough to do today. After walking 10/12 km along the road, the trail went up in the mountains! I encountered a lot of snow, my feet went 30/40 cm deel in the snow. For me, the hardest part was going down. There are lots of rocks and you really have to look where you place your steps.
Because the snow is melting there are lots of small rivers flowing down. Unfornately I had to cross one and my shoes got soaked with ice cold water.
After 4 hours of walking up and down through the snow I finally made it to the other side. The objective for today was getting to the tunnel, but in the walk I found a perfect place to setup my tent, with the view on the sea.
