The last couple of weeks I haven’t trained a lot. I was a bit under the weather, working 5 days a week and the couple of weekends flew buy. So last weekend I decided it was time to go out again!
My first thought was to go on an overnight adventure. I was googling for a place to go but I couldn’t find anything I really wanted to go. The weather last saturday evening was also quite bad. After some thinking I did pack my pack for an overnight adventure so I could change my mind during the day. I also think it’s good to pack your pack to get more familiar with your gear. With 4 litres of water and some food
So what did I do? I wanted to test myself. What would happen if I walked 20 km with a lot of weight in the backpack. I carried 4 litres of water and food for about 24/36 hours. The total weight was 16,7 kg (about 35 pounds, which is too much. I will be writing a post about the weight and weight saving.
I had a great day out! And the end of the 20 km it was a bit hard to keep going but I pushed on.The thing is, I haven’t been out on the trail regularly enough to build up enough muscles to keep going for more then 20 km with this weight. The evenings are getting longer so I’m making plans to more time on the trail.
But without further ado, I’ve made some great pictures also! I hope you enjoy these 🙂
