The last couple of weeks the weather was so bad in The Netherlands. A lot of wind and rain which is quite bad if you want to go bikepacking. This probably changed my view on which bikepacking gear to get by buying Ortlieb gear. Luckily the weather is getting better! The rain has stopped most of the time and the wind is back to normal.
In 10 days I’m starting my first bikepacking trip, cycling from Amsterdam to Paris! I’m looking forward to it, but also not entirely sure if I can make it. This is in my opnion a good thing! It should be a challenge, else it will be a bit boring. On average I’m planning to bike 100 km per day. If you push it, more is probably possible but I want to take it easy and still feel like a normal human being when I arrive in Paris.
This will be my route. Not saying that I will folow exactly this route, but more in general. For example, if I find a dirt road that will get me to the same point, I will for sure take that one. Before the adventure starts I will write a post about my bike and the gear I’m taking with me.
During the trip I’ll be tracking my progress via Strava and every day i will write a post (on my phone) so keep following my site!
