Last friday Patrick and I went riding together in Nijmegen. The weather was perfect, sunny and not too warm. Both had an action cam and we shot a lot of footage. today I reviewed it and created this 4 minute movie.
This trail is about 3,5 km away from where I live so it is possible to really get out and go somewhere else! For the most part we did the “Green route” with a bit of the “Red route” in it. The red part is a good climb up a hill which certainly will test your legs.
If you want to know if there are mountainbike trails near where you live, check out this site. It is a list of all the trail in The Netherlands. At this moment you are probably thinking, great! But I don’t have a mountainbike so what are you on about?
In (almost) every place there will be a bike shop that rents out mountainbikes with a helmet. The cost of this will probably be about 15 to 25 euro’s a day, which is not a lot of money to have a go at mountainbiking for a day. Also, someone that you know will have an (old) mountainbike in his or her shed. Just ask if you can borrow it for a day. It will need some love before riding on it, but it will be fun!
If everything fails, I’ve got an old mountainbike that you can use when we ride together 🙂 just bring a helmet!
If you are interested, I shot the videos with a GoPro hero 5 session and Patrick used an Garmin Virb, both with chest mounts.
